What Lorilo keeps, and where
Lorilo stores the things you save on your phone only: their names, their places, when you saved, moved or found them, and the places they were before. We have no copy and no way to see it.
The microphone and speech recognition
Lorilo asks for the microphone, and on iPhone for speech recognition, so you can say where you put something. It listens only while you hold the button.
Your phone’s own speech recognition service turns the words into text. On iPhone that is Apple’s, which Lorilo asks to run on the device whenever your language allows it. On Android it is the recognition service on your phone, usually Google’s, which Lorilo asks to run offline when an offline model is installed. When the phone can’t do it alone, that service may process the audio on its provider’s servers, under Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy.
Lorilo itself never records, stores or sends the audio. Only the text it turns into stays, as the thing and the place.
What we don’t do
There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and Lorilo includes no third-party analytics or advertising code. We don’t sell or share any data, because we don’t have any. The Android app doesn’t even ask for internet access.
Backups
If you back up your phone with iCloud or Google, the backup can include Lorilo’s list, stored by Apple or Google under their terms.
Deleting your data
Delete a thing in the app and it’s gone from the phone. Deleting the app removes everything Lorilo stored. Copies in a phone backup follow that backup’s own settings.
Children
Lorilo collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
This website
lorilo.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics, and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts and pictures are served from lorilo.app itself. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
